We are capable and willing to receive billing information in just about every methodology available, provided confidentiality is not jeopardized. We are open to whatever method is convenient for you and your practice. Currently the majority of our clients utilize email and electronic information transfer, however, Federal Express, DHL, US postal service, and other courier services are also utilized.

How do we confirm that you have received all of our billing information that has been sent to your office?
We provide you with a detailed aging after billing has been processed so we can have a checks and balances. If wanted we can provide a terminal setup in your office to be live with us for convenient lookup.

How often do you file and submit claims to insurance carriers?
As often as billing is supplied to us. We want a fast turnaround time for you to receive payments.

Do you bill patients directly and handle out-of-pocket responsibilities, co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles due?
Yes, we get as involved as you want us to be.

Do you transmit claims electronically, and do you file claims to secondary carriers?
Yes we file claims electronically and will submit claims to the secondary carriers.

What medical specialties do you handle?
Our office is competent and skilled in the billing procedures and technicalities for a wide range of medical specialties. Our staff is departmentalized and each employee is specifically trained to handle the billing aspects of each specific medical specialty for which their department handles. Most of our concentration is in plastic surgery, anesthesia, pain management, urology, OBGYN, family practice, orthopedics and oncology.

Do we have to have insurance company checks and correspondence sent directly to PC Advantage, Inc.?
Not necessarily. We can handle that function for you all the way to depositing your checks into your account or you can provide us with the eobs after deposited.

Do you follow up on all unpaid claims?
Most definitely. That is a larger part of what we do here at PC Advantage. It is not enough to submit the claim. Aging is done each week and the necessary calls are made to find out why the claim has not been paid . The law states claims should be paid within that period of time or interest is due.

Do you offer billing services for surgery centers?
Yes, office based surgery centers for specialty services.

Does PC Advantage, Inc. have a legal collection office for unpaid balances due?
We have affiliations with several attorneys based on the state of residence.

Do you offer reports and updates on account receivables?
Yes, usually monthly. If there are special reports needed for your practice, we work with you to see what reports best satisfy your office's needs and will provide them as often as you  need.

Is there any initiation fee and how are new clients set up?
Generally there is a small fee for setup as it takes a great deal of time to set up your claims and ID numbers specific to your practice.

Where do patients call regarding billing questions and financial inquiries?
PC Advantage. When statements are sent out there is a billing telephone number to call and speak with the specialist handling your account.

Are there any computer system requirements or programs needed to use PC Advantage, Inc. as our billing service?
PC Advantage, Inc. is equipped with the most up-to-date and sophisticated medical billing software available, with a highly trained staff maintaining and operating these systems. We feel that as your billing service ALL aspects of the billing process are our responsibility, therefore, there are no software or computer system requirements needed within your office. However, if you desire to send your billing information and other correspondences via email, you will need in office internet access and a scanner to upload your data to our office.

Are your services HIPAA Compliant?
Our office complies with the highest standards of patient confidentiality. Each employee is trained to specifically observe all HIPAA guidelines to protect patient and physician alike.
